I switched to a netbook from a normal laptop to make taking it to class easier. I couldn't be happier with my netbook. It does everything I need it to, which is browse the web and run the Microsoft Office Suite. I wouldn't recommend it for anything more process intensive than that, such as Photoshop or games.
But for taking notes, and a general work computer you can't beat it. Great battery life too!
