The Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 has served me well for more than four years now. Its high overclock capabilities set it above other socket 775 models. At a price of $130, it is much more powerful than other processors of similar price.

Best bang for the buck
This processor is simply amazing. I've been running this chip for about 8 months and haven't had any problems whatsoever.
The stock speed of 2.4Ghz is more than enough for most applications, and even most hi-end games. If you're into overclocking you can very easily get this chip to run...

Awesome 775 CPU
If you have a socket 775 system and do not want to update the new i7, this processor is just the best value. Can easily overclock to 3.2 or more on air and if you watercool, you will be able to overlock way higher. Read full review »
