Pros Onboard Video & 16 PCI-E, TV-OUT
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes

This is my second build for an Athlon 64 based system. I find that this borard is the most featured packed Socket 939 mATX board out there. I've been running it in my system for weeks now. It doesn't overclock, but it really doesn't need to either. Overclocking voids the warranty on your CPU... Read full review »

The reason I chose this MoBo was that, at the time i bought it, RS480 provided the best onboard graphics solution available.
Till date, it has never disappointed me. This one boasts of features like

Socket 939 Processor

3 PCI slots
Integrated Radeon... Read full review »

Sorry, look elsewhere

Pros Onboard video and sound are good.
Cons MSI's implementation of the chipset needs work.
Recommended it? No

This board is pretty buggy. I've had trouble with PCI IRQ conflict knocking out the onboard NIC. Video and sound are stable and no complaints. USB powered items can cause the board to lock on reboots and HDD DMA problems happened to me when I had a 2nd hard drive and DVD on the secondary IDE... Read full review »

I got a HP pavilion that comes with this board. It is a little slow from what i expected. I do not know if i have bad ram or if there is something else but all the test I have done so far have been average.
I am having a problem with the onboard network card. If I download stuff for more than... Read full review »

Lots of problems - Installed the MSI RS480M2-IL Motherboard with 3800+ 64 x2 processor. Often won't start or shut down. Many crashes and blue screens, and sometimes after a crashing it will cannot recognize SATA or IDE boot drives. Clearing CMOS restores the board to operable condition but CMOS... Read full review »

Best 64 built in Video

byw18593323 May 23, 2005

Pros Onboard Video & 16 PCI-E, TV-OUT, SPDIF OUT
Cons BIOS still needs some work
Recommended it? Yes

MSI has built a great board for a great price. This board starts where the nForce 2 architecture left, a great built in video. Nvidia's refusal to offer built in video for the 939 socket has made this product unique. Overall, the tv out (composite and sv), paired with SPDIF coax make this mobo a... Read full review »
