Unbelievable disappointment

I have been searching for a reliable blank DVD for several years and had come to rely on earlier, slower versions of TDK products as the stalwart, so when I needed a faster speed, I naturally assumed that TDK would live up to their reputation and my expectations. Consequently, I went out and bought 200 of the 16x DVD -R spindles (two 50-packs and one 100 pack.)
I have just about used up the first 50 and have averaged 3 failures out of five. I have tried Khypermedia discs, Memorex, Teon and Imation, all of which resulted in some failures (I have the best track record with Khypermedia so far.)
My expectations for TDK products up until now have always been well founded, so the fact that I have wasted so much money on a fairly expensive product from a company with such a reliable reputation is most frustrating.
