GainSaver.com is a TOTAL DISSASTER. They advertise the best prices, but the total opposite is true; their INVENTORY of completely out of whack. My first order - 24"iMac - no problems. Second order - 1 Macbook and 2 iMac. I received phone call next day - we don't have macbooks in stock and iMac only come with different configuration, so youhave to pay additional $140. 3rd order - 2iMac - same thing, this time, they only come with super drive (additional $89 per unit) and 2 GB of RAM (addiitonal $149 per unit). PEOPLE, this is BAIT-N-SWITCH, just they don't tell you right when you order, they wait day or two. You're better off buying from Apple direct, or any other joint online, actaully you're best off using EBAY. At least they won't try to screw you for more money - the prices and descriptions are already there.

I ordered a black macbook for $699 from gainsaver, 12 days later and no response from repeated shipping status requests I have cancelled the order. I looked them up and found 60 BBB complaints. Seems like a lot of people got scammed on this one. I cancelled before they charged my credit card (thank God). Check out www.bbb.org, the Better Business Bureau, for a full report and rating about each company before getting involved with them. It was only recently that I found out that GainSaver has a 'D' for it's rating: on a scale from AAA-F. I was in the market for a few used power mac G5s and I came across Gainsaver's website. I couldn't believe the prices so I called up the customer service line. They answered all my questions and got me the equipment that I needed right away. Everything works great and it helped me get my company started. I will be buying again from them soon and recommend it to everyone.

About a month ago I purchased an iBook Notebook 12.1" 800 MHz G3. It is in good working condition, and the price was the best that I could find online. I highly recommend. It did come with some minor "dings", as was mentioned pre-purchase on the website. The computer itself works fine and is up and running, and for the price, I am not going to complain about the minor blemishes on the exterior. My suggestion would be to get a warranty when buying pre-owned equipment, you never know! Hope this helps!

I had a great online shopping with Gainsaver. I purchased an HD display to use with my power mac tower. The display is GREAT! It was so inexpensive compared to other sites. I'm glad I found this site and would love to use it again in the future !

i returned my mac 2.5 quad expecting to receive a replacement( this computer came with the enclosure bent . I called costumer service for this matter and they said that they send a call tag to pick up my mac., and that I would receive a replacement as soon they recieved the computer, this never happened because they canceled my order as soon they received my mac and I never received the replacement. I called them again beacuse i wanted to know what happened to my replacement ,. they put me on hold for 15 minutes then after that they told me my account was closed and they don't have nothing to do for me. I think what they did to me was unfair beacuse they send me a credit back but not complete; I paid $1,701.00 and got back only $1,647.42

I ordered an iBook G4 in early January. I received it not long after. When it arrived the first thing I noticed was how well it was packaged. Upon turning it on it ran fine. But within an hour the OS crashed. Over the next 3 hours it crashed roughly 10-15 times. This was a problem. It kept crashing so I called their customer service and was instructed on how to request a return. Within an hour the return was authorized and I was given instructions on the return. Once they received it I was called personally about it and Leanne helped me reorder a replacement (which I will add works beautifully). It arrived roughly a week later and great condition. This one as well was shipped and packaged very well to prevent any sort of damage. The OS hasn't crashed once and I have been able to do some really cool things with it - working it along side of my iMac G5. The associated that helped me (Leanne Kane) was extremely polite and overly helpful with everything. I am happy with my experiences at Gainsaver and if the need arises will purchase from them in the future.

Can't believe how poor this company is. I registered on their site, then ordered a graphics card. Then like a previous reviewer, had the order cancelled & received an email thanking me for the business!! Sounds like this company is being run by idiots.

I ordered a PowerBook in October from Gainsaver. The overall experience was great! My sales rep was Leann and she really helped me get the best deal for my money. Every time I have called Gainsaver I always get a quick sufficient response from the customer service reps. The machine was in good working condition and I would purchase again.

This company has horrible customer service. They cancelled my order without telling me why. Their e-mail said exactly this: "Dear Customer, Your order was cancelled. Thank you for doing business with Gainsaver." Talk about uninformative! How come their e-mail does not say the reason why? I called and left a message asking why. They never called back. More bad customer service. I called again and was told that the item is no longer available. But it still shows as orderable on their Web page, so more people are going to get caught in the quagmire. They said their Webmaster "hasn't gotten around to it yet". (!) I do not like the way they do business. I told them that I wanted my customer profile removed from their database as I intend to never to business with them. The woman told me I could do that "through the Web" and hung up. But there is no obvious way to do that through their site. They SUCK! <br> <br> UPDATE: They keep sending me e-mails. Their unsubscribe link is broken (big surprise...NOT!). I called them FOUR TIMES asking them to stop sending me e-mail. I finally banned their domain from our mail server.

Absolutely horrible service. They sent me a broken laptop and refused to refund me my full payment even though they had nothing equivalent in stock to replace it with. I reluctantly agreed to a different computer as a replacement, and they repeatedly told me it had shipped (after it didn't arrive for days and days) - turns out they had never shipped it to begin with. After nearly three weeks of this nonsense, I managed to get a refund. HOWEVER, we are still out the shipping cost for returning the BROKEN LAPTOP. I will never, never again use this miserable excuse for a merchant, and we have made sure that anyone we know who is in the market for used equipment knows about our experience with Gainsaver. We ended up buying a new computed straight from Apple instead. I cannot recommend this company on any level, from their rude customer service people to their smug, unhelpful manager, who, when I complained about their return policy, basically told me he could care less about my negative experience with them and that if I wouldn't accept another piece of used equipment from them, he would keep a large percentage of my payment (I honestly don't remember how much) and I could feel however I like about it. THUMBS DOWN. These people are crooks.
