Process was quick and clear. Only "glitch" was that I changed my choice of payment forms mid-way through the process and found that going back required starting mostly over as many of the boxes had cleared but others had not.

I ordered a camera and paid with a gift card. The order was initially approved and later declined. The order took place over a weekend. I had to wait until the regular business day after the holiday to find out what happened. My balance on my gift credit card was held up during this duration and just got the balance restored. The only positive thing about dealing with HP on line is that they notified me timely that the order was not approved and the credit card company should make the adjustment.
Incidentally, telephone call to the company, I talked to a customer service representative that was unable to assist me because I had to speak to a specialist. Two days later I went to a local electronic retailer and found a camera without a hassle.
I will not be too quick to order from HP online from HP. I really enjoy HP products, but I detest the inconvenience in the way service was rendered.

Free next day shipping on ink is awesome

I love this site! When I run out of printer ink (which is often!) I just go online and order and I get free next day shipping! Who does that? It's such a great service and I've had no problems with them. I haven't bought anything other than ink or paper, but I wouldn't buy those items anywhere else online.

As a frequent online buyer, I have never had as bad an experience as I did from HP HOME. I ordered a digital camera from them on 2/4. It was charged immediately to my credit card and shipped the next day via Fedex Ground. I followed the tracking daily

Laptop didn't work ... customer service experience was a nightmare

Ordered an HP laptop for my daughter for Christmas.

The fact that it didn't work was only the beginning of the nightmare experience. To make a VERY long story short, I spent over 5 hours in the next 5 days on the phone with call center people who were no help and hard to understand. When I finally asked how to return and get my credit ASAP I was told I would get a shipping label sent via e-mail. I needed to call back 2 more times to successfully get the e-mail. (And of course each call went through the call center people who asked for the same information I already gave 10 times.

The nightmare continued. The laptop was received by HP on Jan 3. When I still didn't get a credit by Jan 22 I called and was then told that the credit would be processed in the next 5 days. When I complained I was told "We have a real backlog on these!" I guess I wasn't alone in my problems with HP.

My advice ... don't buy from HP on-line. If you buy HP, pray that you don't have to deal with there helpless center.

With regard to HP, I have spent 2 days trying to order an adapter for my Compaq Presario. Calling on-line tech assistance over the past 2 days yielded no return and staff ignorant of the information they are relaying to customer as if non-thinking robots. The information given was completely different between 2 reps and to top it off, when I finally got them to understand the difference between a power cord and an adapter, they offered to charge me $20 over the cost of the same item through HP Home. I am extremely disappointed at the service through this "reputable" company -- their reputation should change to RIPOFF ARTISTS. I am sorry I ever bought their product. If this transaction falls through I will start spreading the word more fully about the HORRIBLE SERVICE. DON'T GO HERE.

Never again will I buy refurbish product from HP. I ordered two HP1905 monitors from HP and when they arrived they both had more damaged than you would expect. One had a missing button and many scratches, the other one had a damaged screen (one 3 inch long scratch on top corner and four smaller scratches). After a non satisfying customer service call I was able to send them back for replacement. When I received the replacement monitors, what a surprise even worst damage on the two monitors. Returned and never again!
