We were having a problem with our 2 year old Roomba's battery holding a charge--it would die after about 10 minutes of operation. I went to the iRobot website to see where I could go to have the Roomba serviced, but there was no such information on the website.
We then contacted iRobot's customer service to try to obtain information on having the Roomba serviced. The customer service rep had some difficulty with English, but rather than giving me service information, tried to talk me through trouble-shooting procedures.
We tried the trouble-shooting procedures, which did not work because it is obvious the battery needs replaced. I returned to the website for additional information, and sent a follow-up e-mail on my conversation with customer service and the results of my trouble-shooting efforts, but never received a response to my e-mail.
I went back on-line to the website, and with slight difficulty was able to find the page necessary to get information and an on-line form to order a replacement battery. I ordered the battery on-line using my credit card, and was told it would take about 4 to 6 weeks before my battery would be sent to me. This seems like an excessive amount of time for an item that should be in stock!
At this point, it has been about 2 1/2 or 3 weeks since I ordered the battery, and I have received no additional information from iRobot about my order, nor have I received the battery.

Our initial online experience was good and the website was easy to navigate and use. The robot we received was not working and unable to troubleshoot. The initial eMail (standard) contact elicited an auto-response that did not even address the problem. When we actually spoke to a representative, they tried to make us pay to return the robot (that never worked) for replacement. They relented, but we should not have even had to argue that point. They sent us a working machine and we are now returning the original one per their instructions. It works great but I will think twice before ordering another due to this initial experience.

The tracking link in my account info online went to the FedEx site even though the shipper used was USPS, so I had to figure that out and then find the site myself to check the tracking.

I didn't have to do any return or call with any problems. Never experienced this with any purchases. They pack all merchandise very nicely. I purchase all my accessories through irobot, maker of roomba's. They have specials, some discount pricing, free shipping, etc...etc. their pricing is similar, at time better than any thrid party offers. I'd rather stay with the OEM. I'll continue to purchase from IRobot.Thank you..............

It was confusing to determine the correct replacement parts that I needed from the various models. I did receive the replacement filters and they seem to be the correct ones, but I have yet to get the 2 replacement batteries that i ordered.

Service at I-Robot has certainly deteriorated. In the past, I have always received very good service but this time I was referred to the wrong tracking site. I was not able to get any useful information when I called. The reply to my email was very slow. There appears to be no information available on one of the items which I was told was in inventory when I ordered it. What a shopping experience!
