The 2005 Silverado 2500 HD Crew Cab is available in eight models: Work Truck, Base, LS, and LT trims in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. GM offers several engine and transmission combinations, including two gasoline V-8 engines and one turbocharged V-8 diesel. The 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine provides 310 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft of torque. Available transmissions include an Allison five-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. Optional packages include the Trailering Equipment Package, a Skid Plate Package, and a Snow Plow Prep Package. Optional interior features include leather seating, reclining bucket seats, and a premium Bose sound system. A rear seat entertainment system is also available.
