VideoQuest YIQ1 uses HCF (Hard Cell Foam) insulated solid Silver Plated Long Grain Copper (SP-LGC) conductors in a symmetrical design. YIQ1 is actually three identical 75 ohm cables, one each for each of the three signals, which together carry the video information. Each of the three cables uses a symmetrical design: in addition to a foil and braided shield, the ground uses a 22 awg SP-LGC) conductor which is identical to the center conductor. All VideoQuest YIQ cables have four times as large a conductor as an average Component Video cable.
