The MFCD 1218, Barco's 18" color flat panel display with a resolution of 1280 x 1024, has been designed for general medical viewing. In a few easy steps, users can determine the transfer curve of their display system and have it adapted in accordance with DICOM supplement 28, the directive for viewing medical images. With DICOM Optimizer, all MFCD flat panels are perceptually linearized, i.e. they give the same perception of an image, independent of the characteristics of the display system and graphics controller used.
