Easy to use, great graphics
Pros: Good battery life, user friendly, PC compatible, fun to use
Cons: Limited software titles Full review I bought my iBook just before starting an all-online university program. I have been using my computer for 3-6 hours a day, almost every day. It is easy to use (especially if you have experience using a Windows based operating system), has great graphics, and operates quickly and smoothly. I will never go back to a PC!! I have wireless Internet which is easy to use because I just open up my notebook and it automatically connects to whichever Internet connection is available at my location. The battery life is great (I can easily get 5-6 hours of battery life) and after the battery switches to reserve power and is not plugged in, it simply goes into sleep mode which means all of your documents are saved and any web browsers that are open remain open. If you are not familiar with using an Apple, the operating system is actually what Microsoft used for inspirations when creating Windows. The programs are very similar and there is Microsoft Office software available if that is what you favor. There is also a "dashboard" where you can place various "widgets". These widgets can contain anything from a countdown clock for the opening of a movie to stock quotes and sports scores. The graphics are much more animated than anything Microsoft has created. I have not had any problems emailing documents back and forth between a Windows user and my computer. There are a limited number of software programs available for the Mac, but the limited selection is often a higher quality program, especially when looking at the music, video, and photo editing software. |
