Pros: Under $1200, SuperDrive, Built-in Wireless and Bluetooth, Apple Service, User Friendly, 14" Display
Cons: Display not as crisp as 12", OS/iLife uses 13GB harddrive space, surface stays dirty easily
The Bottom Line: I wanted to create my home recording studio and the iBook helped me do that for under $1200. Now I can program, record, mix and burn my very own music.

Pros: Pretty, Simple-to-use, no networking problems. Best battery life I've seen in a notebook
Cons: Getting used to a different OS, the pretty look does show of scratching a little.
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend the G4 iBook to anyone looking for a first-time laptop. It isn't a workhorse for high end programs, but is very simple and fun to use.

Pros: No anti virus software needed.
Cons: Hands get uncomfortable if typing for a long period of time.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the iBook G4 or any MAC computer because of the ease of use and because you don't have the virus concerns.

Pros: Great display, handles multiple apps at once, user friendly.
Cons: Slowish boot up and shut down, speakers could be louder, runs a little hot.
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you find a good deal on it. It isn't the latest model, but is a great overall versatile machine.

Pros: Stability of Linux plus Windows' ease of use.
Cons: Not quite as much software, slightly more expensive than PC.
The Bottom Line: Good for ordinary users. High-end gamers or heavy-duty multimedia users might want to look higher up the scale.
