Pros: Good Range, saved me a lot of tickets.
Cons: Speaker ruined, no good if I can't hear the buzzer.....
The bottom line: Buy it because it works good and is cheap, shut it off when out of car!
I have a 955 and the guy saying it does not detect well must have a defective detector. Mine picks up cops over hills and around corners great, many times at over 2 miles. If he is getting hit with laser these (all detectors) are useless and that would explain the range issue, or he may be getting hit with instant-on but mine works great on flatland to 5 or more miles and at least 2 with hills and mild bends. The only drag about mine after one year is the speaker is ruined from getting too hot sitting on my dash. The upside is I know I can get another for a great deal less than a Passport and the quality is on par if not equal in terms of detection and range.

Bear in mind that the Passport uses the same technology as the Bel, they bought the patents from Bel...............

I found the detector to be of high quality and it has saved me from many tickets. I never had a hit with Laser but I am lucky enough to live in central Michigan and no one has it here yet.

I would recommend this to anyone who does not dig wasting money, and is not too lazy to turn it off when they get out of the car on a hot day.
