HP Compaq Evo D510 Small Form Factor
Pros: Headphone, microphone, and USB inputs on both front and rear of machine.
Cons: Not internally upgradeable. Full review Our company bought 6 of these machines for our office in June of 2003. All 6 are still running fine and the warranties are good through 2006. All units came pre-installed with WinXP. One of the machines had a bad CD-ROM drive upon initial delivery but was promptly replaced within a few days. I will admit up front that I'm not a huge fan of HP or Compaq computers and would never buy one for home use. However, our company has always purchased Compaq computers outright for the added comfort of their 3-year warranties. As an IT manager, I'm using one of the machines myself for network administration. Currently, it has a SCSI card installed for 2 DAT backup drives and a DVD burner and CD-RW drive connected via USB. |
