Pros: Great picture. No bad pixels. Ghosting not bad at all. Nice for watching widescreen DVD's.
Cons: The delay to display a picture is annoying. The HEAT is uncomfortable.
The bottom line: Go with a 22 inch monitor if the heat is handled better there, especially due to the huge price jump from 22 to 24 inch.

I was very pleased when I first started using this monitor. I had been using a twenty one inch CRT until this one. After a month or two of use, now, from the time I turn the monitor on, it now takes about fifty seconds before it displays a picture (just says Gateway in the middle of the black screen until then). Then after the desktop shows up, it continues to display the DVI video box in the middle of the monitor for another forty or fifty seconds. Thereafter it is ok except for the amount of HEAT it generates. This display gets HOT, to the point where you can actually feel the heat on your face if you are about 12-15in away. The heat not only convects up from the back of the monitor but the front panel display actually gets hot to the touch! I am sure it will be fine in the winter time, but in the summer time it's to the point of being a bit uncomfortable. If I don't have my air conditioner on, it makes my face feel sticky and hot. This was my first flat panel, so I checked out some we have at work and they were smaller (in the 15 to 19 inch range) as well as much cooler to the touch.
