Pros: prints fast, scans well, faxes from scanner bed or print tray
Cons: crazy error messages for no reason!
The bottom line: I would recommend this to someone that doesnt need something they will use constantly or just wants to do basic functions, however keep the manual for error codes =)
The HP OFFICEJET 5610 ALL IN ON is an OK printer. I say ok because it has about as many good points about it as it does bad. I will start with what is good about the printer. It has a classic look that matches the grey and black hp computers, the interface is user friendly, it prints quickly and with good quality. It copies efficiently and it scans clearly. The software is easy to install and easy to navigate to perform commands. Now for the negative aspects of the printer. It is rather bulky in size compared to some of the other all in ones on the market, the scanning of photos takes a little longer than I would like. The ink cartridges in my mind are very expensive. The main problem I have had with this printer, which prompted me to purchase another model, is the error messages. We repeatedly got an error message saying the print cartridge door was open, when in fact it was not. That caused us to have to keep opening the door and closing it back every time we wanted to print. About 2 mos ago every time we tried to use it we got an error that there was a jam, when in fact there is nothing jammed! We never could get it to stop saying that , and I have heard of other people having this same problem. We decided to just trash it and get a hp office jet 4315 all in one.
