Pros: Powerful, Relatively Light, Good Battery Life, Good Value, Amazing Engineering
Cons: No dedicated 'Windows' shortcut key. I hate that!
The Bottom Line: Buy the Thinkpad T42. The value is good, the engineering is great, and the features are rich. You'll be glad in the longrun.

Pros: Solid construction, great keyboard, wonderful display
Cons: Pricier than clone competitors
The Bottom Line: Pricier than clone laptops but worth it if it will be used to do a lot of writing or if it will be dragged around with you daily.

Pros: customer service, ThinkLight
Cons: build quality has suffered, price
The Bottom Line: costly but worthwhile if you can get a discount; quality has suffered a bit in recent years--maybe they'll rebound and resume greatness soon

Pros: Excellent-Keyboard, Solid Case, Good Performance, IBM Online Support, Video Performance, Slimline, add-ons, Decent-Batlife.
Cons: IBM Canada, IBM USA?, More $$$, Pricey Extras & Features, needs DVI port.
The Bottom Line: A good all around laptop. Not for extreme/gaming. Worth the premium over a Dell/HP general laptop.
