The bottom line: Dramatic increase in visual and auditory experience with my setup from generic cables. Ensure the cables you buy meets or exceeds your component capabilities and you can not go wrong.
I purchased this cable to connect my PS3 with an ONKYO TX-SR605 reciever into a 42 inch Westinghouse TX-42F430S 1080P HDTV. I have always used the generic cables that come along with a system or component before installing Monster cables and I have to tell you that the improvement is always dramatic. The ONKYO receiver is DTS-HD and DOLBY TrueHD capable so there was no way I was going to go with anything but the highest speed HMDI cable I could get my hands on for the full experience and I have to say Monster has not let me down! Yes, there is the Monster M series but they are not available on the Hawaiian islands and from my research I know that the Monster 1000 cable I bought is more than right for my setup. Both auditory and visually, I am very satisfied. I have to say I KNOW that what I see and hear are what my HDTV, PS3 and receiver are fully capable of. So bottom line, if you want to be rest assured your running at 100 percent capability, install the Monster cables, paying specific attention to the bandwidth requirements of your components of course. I have found many stores displaying HDMI cables, including Monster, next to the best HDTV's that would obviously not transfer the capabilities of the BLURAY or HD-DVD player to the receiver and HDTV it deserves in order to see and hear what the manufacturer intends the customer to experience. If a newer version of the cable you purchased is made in the future Monster will replace it for free, so you never go wrong with buying the best now.
