Pros: small, FM radio, expandability w/micro SD card-if you don't do the firmware upgrade
Cons: Sandisk support, buggy firmware upgrades, Sandisk support and Sandisk support
The bottom line: Avoid this player! If you have any problems and have to contact support, you will be sorry.
When I first bought this player I thought that it was great. I used it to work out and had no issues with it. Then I had to go and try to fix something that was not broken and broke it instead.

I installed the software to update the firmware automatically on the player. After the first update to the player, it would no longer recognize my 2 Gb Kingston memory card. I also had issues with the FM radio. I could not hear the radio unless I turned the volume all of the way down and then turned it up. The player also starts up very slowly and would hang up during the boot up. All of these things happened after I updated the firmware. When I contacted Sandisk tech support their answer was that I should have used their memory. What a joke!

If you look at the forum on Sandisk's own website (http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board?board.id=express) there are several accounts of similar problems. I wish that I would have seen this site before I performed the update.

I cannot recommend this player based on the horrible support offered by Sandisk and the extremely buggy firmware updates. It appears that they do not care about the customers after they have the money. Spend your money elsewhere.
