Don't copy manually several pages (without Automatic Document Feeder)
Pros: > good material quality impression
Cons: > cover always falling down > not possible to manually copy several pages efficiently Full review Hi there In general a good product, but the (for this price category common) slow scanning unit combined with a poorly programmed firmware brings some problems. When you copy several pages _manually_, you'll discover two issues: 1) the ADF is too heavy for the springs, supposed to keep the ADF/cover open while you change the page to be copied. 2) if you press the copy button before the scanner is back in his original position after scanning a page, you will hear just some beeps from the 6110MFP. And if you do this over several pages, the firmware will crash, requiring you to turn off and on the power of the MFP. I've been in touch with Xerox support. They claim both issues to be "normal" and that there is nothing they can do about it. So... not sure whether it would have been better to go for a vendor that is focusing on the small/medium businesses (SMB) and home offices (HO).... who would be interested in getting his product fully functional for SMBs and HOs. However, you may call it a rare requirement to manually copy several pages.... if so.... buy it. Otherwise... leave your fingers from it. It would be so easy to just trigger the next copy process when hitting the copy button before the scanner is back in his original position :-( That's about it. Cheers. |
