Pros: fuel efficiency, agility, great brakes, good build quality, comfort at long haul.
Cons: lack of body rigidity, rattle, squeaks; bad dealers service in California but great in connecticut
The Bottom Line: The best commuter's car. Watch out for dealer service stations inexperience with TDI service. Use all synthetic oil for DIESELl (not gas) engines such as Delvac from Mobil.

Cons: Not many...
The Bottom Line: A great car that puts the fun back into driving, and cuts your gas bill in half at the same time! I actually enjoy the commute to/from work, now.

Pros: Great sound system, remote control keys
Cons: Seats aren't the greatest, world's stupidest drink holder
The Bottom Line: This is a fun little car that people (especially chubby men) will stare at jealously in intersections. beep. beep.

Pros: Golf TDI - High torque at low RPM's = The ultimate pocket rocket!
Cons: The Diesel engine sounds like a truck.
The Bottom Line: Just like everyone else says - Economy and zip. Throw a box modification in like I did and Japanese competitors will eat your shorts.
