Pros: small, very easily portable, looks nice and sleek
Cons: USB transfer is a little slow

I bought this because I wanted a high capacity external drive that was still small and light so I could take it anywhere. I do use it with a Mac and it works fine, however it is a newer Macbook Pro, so maybe older macs have problems. I do think you need a USB 2.0 plug. It was a little slow with the initial transfers, but I was copying about 40GB, so I guess time can be considered there. All and all I am pleased with it. Got a great deal at costco on it. It comes with a great travel case too.
