Several years ago, I purchased two of these Pentium 4 2400 Mhz processors and some Intel D865GLC motherboards to completed a POV Ray animation.  At the time, these processors were the fastest hyperthreading capable products on the market and were a big boost to the performance of my animation... A mighty processor for a fair price, I bought this processor shortly after it was released. I was building a new computer for myself. This cpu has exceeded all of my expectations. Even after 6 months of use and abuse it still runs like a beast. The only surprise I got was that it's set up to make... Read full review »

Pros HUGE bang for the buck. Not too hot for a CPU, and overclocks very high.
Cons 25% chance of a working quad. Two of three got me three cores though.
Recommended it? Yes

Hi Folks, I am a man of many pursuits, and one of them happens to be building and tuning custom PC's. I'm one of those fools who drops whole paychecks into the latest components and won't hesitate to rebuild his whole system from the ground up only for purposes of adding a fan or new processor... Pros An ideal processor for a home upgrade to Windows 7.
Cons Is apparently not 100% compatible with Intel processors.
Recommended it? Yes

Why THIS Processor?
