The time has finally come for a review of a solid, workhorse scanner that seems to keep going while others fail. Pros may be good for handling any printed documentation (Photo, drawing, doc,)
Easy...
Cons Poor interface
Learning curve very long
No tweaking...
Recommended it? No

Long story short - I got a new scanner at work - the Epson V4490 which is essentially the V500 but with a regular bulb (I'll explain later). I did a... Read full review »

Pros Lots of different settings. Slide scanning looked sharp and clear.
Cons Learning curve for Beginner. No printed manual. $250 is higher than others in its class.
Recommended it? Yes

This is the first scanner I've purchased. In fact, this is the first scanner I've used!

I have looked at several scanners and narrowed it down to an HP G4050, Epson V500, and the Canoscan... Read full review »
