I remember the dawn of the CD burner. It was an exciting time back then - the ability to store over 400 floppy discs worth of data on one optical cd while offering greater longevity due to the nature of the CD.

Pros Fast access times, quiet compared to Lite-on drives

Over the past four years, I've been making cd-rw's on an 8x Plextor. It has been a trusty, reliable burner that I never had problems with.
