Recommended it? Yes

I bought the Sony MRW62ES1181 after trying a less expensive "generic" reader. The (only slightly) less expensive reader's CF slot was not large enough for Type II cards (such as a MicroDrive). It was also very cheaply constructed.

Pros Appears to support at least some of the card types it claims to support.
Cons Does not appear to support all card types (specifically Smartmedia) that it claims to.
Recommended it? No

I needed a USB card reader that would read Smartmedia, SD, and Memory Stick cards. Unfortunately this reader does not appear to read Smartmedia even though this is an advertised feature. I've tried two of them and neither would read the 64MB Olympus Smartmedia card that came with my Olympus C-4040... Read full review »
